Ross Commissioners Okay Liquor License for McKnight Road Grocery Store
A growing number of grocery stores have begun selling alcohol within restaurants attached to the main supermarket.

Ross Township Commissioners voted 8-0 Monday to approve the transfer of a liquor license to the Kuhn's Supermarket in the North Hills Village shopping center.
A growing number of grocery stores, including Giant Eagle and Whole Foods, have begun selling alcohol within restaurants attached to the main supermarket.
State law requires the restaurant have a defined separation from the rest of the supermarket, a separate cashier, and seating for at least 30 patrons. The stores must sell beer to in-house customers as well as take-out.
