Ross Commissioners to Vote Tonight on Northland Public Library Referendum

Ross Township Commissioners will vote tonight on whether to submit the  referendum to the Allegheny County Elections Department to be placed on the ballot at the next election. 

The board meets at 7:30 p.m. at the for its regular meeting and at 6:30 p.m. for its committee meeting. 

The agenda includes enactment of Ordinance No. 2315, which, if approved,  per $100,000 in assessed property value annually in order to continue funding the . 

Five people have signed up to speak on the issue. Public comments will be taken before the ordinance is voted on. 

Also on the agenda for tonight: 

* A presentation of a plaque to Eagle Scout Andrew Gumpf.

* Request for a conditional use approval to operate an automotive repair facility on property at 2136 Babcock Boulevard. 

, but rather planned to offer state safety inspections, emissions inspections, and mechanical repair services. He also said he has been working for 15 years in the auto repair business and that this is his first attempt at running his own shop.

* Request for site plan approval for a facade renovation at 4870 McKnight Road, the former Berkeley Hills Pharmacy.
