Matt and Sandy McHugh also run a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising money and awareness of pediatric cancer.

COLLEGEVILLE, PA — A local couple recently ran the Honolulu marathon in Hawaii in honor of their son, who was a victim of pediatric cancer.
Matt and Sandy McHugh participated in the run to support pediatric cancer research, after their own son, Jake, passed away from cancer back on Feb. 9, 2018.
The couple was featured in a television spot on NBC 10 Philadelphia recently.

The couple runs Jake's Dragon Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to "funding innovative pediatric cancer research as well as helping families cope with the enormous financial burden of this disease," according to the organization's website.
In a video posted to a Facebook page belonging to local Realtor Kimberly Chadwick back in July, Matt McHugh described his family as a "local Collegeville, Royersford, Phoenixville family" that "grew up in the Springford School District."
