Nottage Project: Don't $tress About the Prom Dress
Local organization offers help to PV girls worried about the event's expense

Prom is one of the most memorable events for high school students, but it can also be the most expensive. According to an MSNBC report, a family could spend about $1,078 on the prom, and families in the Northeast could spend even more -- $1,994.
Local charity The Nottage Project, "(believes) that every girl should have a dream dress for prom, without the financial stress," an organization representative wrote in an e-mail. Dresses have been collected to help Perkiomen Valley High School girls have their special night.
Students can contact a high school faculty member, school counselor, or The Nottage Project for more information.
