Ott Road Officially Reopens Tuesday After 19-Month Closure
After a 19-month closure, Ott Road will open back up on Tuesday, and the temporary traffic signal at Gravel Pike will be removed.

PERKIOMEN TOWNSHIP, PA — After 19 months of waiting, the long-awaited day is finally here.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation told local officials that Ott Road will reopen between Miller Road and Route 29 on Tuesday, Dec. 18. The announcement was initially made about a week ago.
In addition, the temporary traffic signal at Gravel Pike and Graterford Road will be removed at some point in the coming weeks, according to Perkiomen Township.

Construction will continue in the spring, PennDOT said, with final improvements being made to Ott Road, Route 29, Seitz Road, and Plank Road. The good news for residents here is that no closures or detours are expected, with lanes only being restricted, not shut down.
Ott Road had been closed since May 2017 as construction to realign the highway was underway.

The $11.1 million project was aimed at improving "travel and safety" along several key intersections, including Route 29 and Plank Road, Route 73 at Plank Road, and the Meyers Road, Seitz Road, and Township Line Road.
