Perkiomen Man Pleads Not Guilty In Killing Of Mother, Brother: DA

Police said the man shot and killed his mother and brother inside his home and then called the FBI.

PERKIOMEN TOWNSHIP, PA — A Perkiomen Township man charged with two counts of first degree murder in the killings of his mother and brother has pleaded not guilty.

Aaron Deshong, 49, entered the plea in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas this week. It came during his formal arraignment.

The incident occurred back on Sept. 24, 2023 at around 5 p.m. at his Perkiomen home on the 700 block of Gravel Pike.

Deshong shot his Wanda Deshong, 74, in the head, and his brother, Adam Deshong, 53, of Devon, multiple times, the autopsy report states. A total of four shots were fired from a Smith and Wesson .38 caliber revolver.

Deshong placed a call to the FBI Threat Assessment Center in the afternoon shortly after the killings and "indicated he may have hurt his family," the DA's Office said.
