During the construction, PennDOT is building a single lane roundabout and installing new drainage facilities and lighting.

Following the utility work, when the project moves into the roadway construction phase, road crews will be instituting a traffic detour for drivers passing through the area.

Motorists are warned of upcoming delays and detours due to the road work, and drivers are being advised to allow for extra time during their commutes.

The general contractor on the $1.59 million roadway redesign project is Allan Myers of Worcester Township.

The project, PennDOT said, is being paid for completely with federal funds, and the entirety of the work is expected to be complete by the summer of 2023.
