Trappe Fire Company In Montco Officially Returns To Service After Death Of Chief
Trappe Fire Co. returned to service Monday two weeks after the death of Chief Branden Sisca, who died while on duty as a police trooper.

TRAPPE, PA — The volunteer fire company where fallen Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Branden Sisca also served as chief officially returned to service on Monday, two weeks after Sisca's line-of-duty-death during his law enforcement job in Philadelphia.
"Early this morning, under the bright sun with white clouds in the sky, Station 77/Trappe Fire Company was officially returned to service," the organization posted to Facebook Monday. "The flag, which had been flying at half-staff in honor of fallen Fire Chief Branden Sisca, was removed from service and will be presented to the Family."
Sisca, who in January was named chief at the volunteer Trappe Fire Company, was a rookie state trooper who died on the early morning hours of March 21 while he was trying to aid a pedestrian on Interstate 95 in South Philadelphia.

Sisca, 29, fellow Trooper Martin Mack, III, 33, and the pedestrian, Reyes Oliveras, 28, of Allentown, were all struck and killed by suspected drunk driver Jayana Webb, 21, of Eagleville, Montgomery County.
On Monday, the Trappe Fire Co. stated in its Facebook post that a new flag was raised atop the flagpole outside of the station, and that Deputy Chief John Bolger reminded the members who were present for the flag-raising that "we have been lifted from the ashes because of the support of the many fire companies near and far who provided stand-by coverage during our time of need."

Bolger then reportedly thanked all of the local community members, business owners, friends, family and civilians who were "generous in their outpouring of love and support in our time of need.
"It is with greater commitment and resolve that we return to serve the communities of Trappe, Upper Providence, and the Perkiomen Valley. We thank you!" Bolger was reported to have stated.
Last month, Patch spoke with Bolger about Sisca's history with the fire company and the local Trappe community.
Patch was also there this past Saturday during the public funeral for Sisca at the Perkiomen Valley High School. He was laid to rest during a private interment following the service.
Meanwhile, court records show that a preliminary hearing for Webb is scheduled to take place at 9 Tuesday morning before Philadelphia Municipal Court Judge Karen Y. Simmons.
Records show that Webb is currently in custody after she was denied bail.
Webb faces a host of charges, including murder of a law enforcement officer of the first degree, homicide by vehicle while DUI, murder, involuntary manslaughter, recklessly endangering another person and other criminal counts.
