Get Your Taste on at the Washington Wine, Jazz & Pops Festival

Palazzo 1837 Ristorante's Whiskey-Glazed Ribs and Smoked Sweet Corn are on the weekend menu.

Rain or shine, the Washington Wine, Jazz and Pops Festival is scheduled for Saturday, 12-8 p.m. and Sunday, 12-7 p.m. at Mingo Creek Park.

Palazzo 1837 Ristorante is urging festival-goers to "follow the aromatic scent until you reach the Whiskey-Glazed Ribs and Smoked Sweet Corn with Herb-Infused Drawn Butter."

The two-day festival will feature Pittsburgh jazz guitarist Eric Susoeff, and appearances by Paul Thompson Quartet and The Tony Grey Project on Saturday.

Sunday will be a day of "Pops," with performances by the Washington Symphony Orchestra, the "toe-tapping Celtic tunes" of the Beau Street Players, the "nostalgic big band music" of Catfish Creek Revival, the "irrepressible jazz piano and clarinet" of the Ortner-Roberts Duo and the "exciting sound" of Brass Unlimited.

Wine tastings are scheduled, and patrons will have the opportunity to purchase wine from local wineries.
