
Lloyd Emil Roessler died Thursday, March 29 peacefully at home. He was born on Oct. 30, 1922 in Evansville, IN to Emil and Frances Bauer Roessler. He was married to Pat Johnson Roessler for 60 years, who survives along with their children, Jean (Lain) Knowles, Doug (Laurie), Paul (Marty) and Kay (Jack) Wasieleski.
Lloyd took great joy in his family, loving each one of his eleven grandchildren:Â Sarah (Rey) Sarion, Amy (Brent) Jones, Jenny (Preston) Graham, Kristen (Jason) Horner, Adam Roessler, Megan (Grady) Bolte, Kevin and Kyla Roessler, Chris (Jen), Katelyn and Erin McAndrew and all nine great grandchildren.
He was a member of  in Peters Township and the 25 Year Club of Alcoa. He served as chairman of the Board for 28 years out of a total of 35 years, during which time the library developed into a nationally ranked facility. He sang in church choirs wherever he worshiped, and was a strong voice in the Alcoa and Bob Locklin Singers. He was active in the Boy Scouts for many years and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.Â

He also is survived by a sister, Mary Frances Small. Preceding him in death was his brother, William, and sisters Doris Scheafnocker and Ruth Buente.
Funeral arrangements by Beinhauer Family Services. Friends are welcome at 2828 Washington Road in McMurray (724-941-3211) on Saturday 3-5 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

A memorial service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peters Township Public Library, 616 E. McMurray Road, McMurray, PA 15317.Â
