Pleasant Valley Elementary, Peters Township Middle School and Peters Township High School will share strategies with other school districts.

Peters Township School District has been named as one of 17 districts from across Pennsylvania to receive the Governor’s Expanding Excellence Grants.

Pleasant Valley Elementary will share strategies around student data collection and how the building utilizes data meetings to foster academic success. Peters Township Middle School focused on the area of math/algebra proficiency and the use of a scheduled math lab to provide individual student support. At Peters Township High School, the focus was on college readiness and strategies to bolster achievement in advanced placement exams, ACT and the SAT.

Staff from each building will serve as mentors in the program and will share their work with their peers at the Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators and the Pennsylvania School Boards Association’s School Leadership Conference in October, and during the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Standards Aligned System Institute in December.
