Peters Family Hosts Holiday Bike Drive
The O'Donnell family of Peters is collecting gently used children's bikes which will be repaired and redistributed at Christmas.

Trish O’Donnell and her family are conducting a used bike drive that supports the Salvation Army’s ‘Bikes for Kids’ program. The collection will take place on Saturday, November 1st, at a location in McMurray on Route 19, from 9 a.m. till noon.
“Our goal is to collect as many gently used bikes as possible,” Trish said. ”These bikes are refurbished and then distributed to kids around City of Pittsburgh communities.”
With help from C. S. Kim Karate volunteers, the O’Donnells hope to collect gently used children’s bikes that can be refurbished and distributed to needy kids in the Pittsburgh area during the holiday season.

This is the O’Donnell’s second year of collection. Last year, they collected and donated 52 bikes to the Salvation Army.
If you’re planning to donte this year, bikes should be gently used and made for children between ages 3 and 12. The O’Donnells can also accept gently used adult bikes, which will be repaired and sold to support the Bikes for Kids program. Bikes can be brought to C.S. Kim Karate McMurray parking lot at 3637 Washington Road in McMurray.
