Suspicious Package Revealed Harmless in Peters' Waterdam Centre
The Allegheny County Bomb Squad was called to Peters Township by police Wednesday.

There was no bomb scare, Chief Harry Fruecht said.
A small black box was found under a tree in Waterdam Centre's parking lot by a passing motorist Wednesday morning.Â
At 10:30 a.m., the Allegheny County Bomb Squad was called to the scene, where they X-rayed the box to determine its contents.Â

The box contained nothing but tools and electronics, Fruecht said.
The Washington County Department of Public Safety, and Peters Township VFW 764 ambulance service assisted township police and the bomb squad.

The scene was clear within an hour and a half of the time reported, and there will be no further investigation, Fruecht said.Â
