Volunteer Drivers Needed for Meals on Wheels!

Help ensure that your elderly neighbors get the vital nutrition they need!

Meals on Wheels of Peters Township is in urgent need of more volunteer drivers to deliver meals to senior citizens and other homebound individuals on weekday mornings. Training is provided, and schedules are flexible! Drivers volunteer from about 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, either one day a week, every other week, or as occasional substitutes. Seasonal drivers for summer and winter are also needed.

Our nutritious, home-delivered meals help senior citizens stay healthy and in their homes longer, and for those who don't have friends and family nearby, the brief visit from a friendly volunteer is often the highlight of our clients' day. We serve up to 200 clients a day in a wide circle of communities, including Peters, Canonsburg, Houston, Eighty Four, Finleyville, Lawrence, Bridgeville/S. Fayette, and part of Bethel Park and Upper St. Clair.

Delivering meals is a fun, rewarding activity to do alone, with a friend or spouse, or with your school-aged kids over the summer. Please consider joining our enthusiastic team of volunteers! Call 724-969-1000 for more information, or stop by our facility above the Peters Twp. Fire Department any weekday morning, at 245 E. McMurray Road.
