July Health Inspection Reports For Phoenixville ZIP code

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Health inspectors paid visits to numerous establishments in Phoenixville in July.

Inspectors found some establishments to be in violation of health codes set by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

• Black Horse Tavern, 1303 Charlestown Road: 8 violations; including, a small refrigerator holding food at temperatures higher than 41 degrees, only one container of test strips, cooler and floor cleaning necessary, a hand sink blocked by a bowl, mops not being hung to air dry.
• Kiko Sushi and Ramen, 243 Schuylkill Road: 3 violations including common food labels lacking on condiment containers, tong hanging on faucet at food prep sink, and grease on a few vent covers and hood ledges.
• Bob’s Haven Deli, 1442 Charlestown Road: 5 violations including employees drinking in the food prep area, storage containers of dry ingredients not labeled, beef located above the lip of the cold well, chlorine test strips wet and not usable, walk-in area freezer has ice collecting on the floor.
• P.J. Ryans Pub, 231 Bridge St.: 5 violations including scoop handle in contact with public service ice, jacket hanging in dry storage shelves, sink drains need sanitizing, water-stained ceiling tiles in the basement bar, a floor in soda basement unclean.
• Grid Iron Sports Bar & Pizzeria, 934 Township Line Road; 5 violations: food labels lacking on some condiment containers; date marking lacking on sliced lunch meat and sausage; thermometer lacking on small coolers; dust in vent covers; mold behind dishwasher well.
• Villa Pizza Italian Restaurant, 425 Schuylkill Road; 1 violation: clean floor in back room.
