Kennett Square Men Charged With Selling Meth and Cocaine

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Two Kennett Square men are in Chester County Prison Wednesday in lieu of $100,000 bail each on charges of trafficking cocaine, methamphetamine, and illegal weapon offenses in East Marlborough Township.
Ramiro Guzman-Gomez, 45, was ordered held for court by District Judge Al Iacocca, Kennett Square, Wednesday on charges of manufacturing and delivering drugs and weapon offenses.
Co-defendant Agustin Lopez-Guzman, 35, waived a hearing before Iacocca on the same charges.

Investigators said the pair trafficked cocaine and methamphetamine from their residence in the 500 block of School House Lane.

- Between June 9 and 11, investigators said, the two sold illegal drugs to an informant. Lopez-Guzman had an illegal semi-automatic handgun.
- On June 29, a search warrant was issued and investigators seized ⅛ of an ounce of methamphetamine, with a street value of $200, and 40 baggies of cocaine, with a street value of $20,000, packaging materials, and a 9 mm handgun.
- The 9 mm handgun was reported stolen in 1991 in Los Angeles, Calif.
Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan said her office will continue to investigate drug trafficking to combat the drug epidemic and protect the community.
“These men knowingly supplied illegal substances to others within this community and had illegal firearms to help facilitate that,” she said.
The investigation was launched by the Chester County Detectives Drug and Organized Crime Unit and the High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Strike Task Force, consisting of federal, state, and local drug investigators.
