Man Threatens to Stab Wife, Police Say
According to Phoneixville Police, the couple was arguing about the husband's drinking.

A 59-year-old Phoenixville man is in Chester County Prison after police say he assaulted his wife and threatened to stab her during an argument in their Garfield Avenue home.
On April 16 at 2:39 p.m., Phoenixville Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Garfield Avenue for a report of a domestic assault. According to court documents, the defendant’s wife told police that she and her husband were having an argument about how much alcohol he had consumed that day when he struck her in the head.
The victim also alleged that her husband pulled out a knife and threatened to stab her with it, police say.

The man was arrested and charged with terroristic theats, simple assault, and harassment. He was confined to Chester County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail and faces preliminary hearing on Thursday.
