PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Upper Providence Little League made it to the Little League World Series, as they aimed to do this year, and played two games at Williamsport.

Jalen Bowman led his team in hits, with 2-for-3 at the plate, but the final score was PA 3 and LA 5. Sam Buckley struck out five in the five innings he pitched, according to a recap from GameChanger.
Team Manager Ben Ludwig told the team right after their loss, "It's gonna hurt for a little while I'm smiling. You know why I'm smiling? Because of all the heart and all the effort and all the hard work that you guys put in. You guys are awesome."

UP Little League said on social media, "We too would like to say the same to these coaches, players, and families. You have inspired more boys and girls in our area to sign up and play baseball and softball; our Fall Program registration is doubled! You have inspired our younger players with your class on and off the field and shown what a team can achieve when they focus on a goal together."
Ludwig, in this video, gives the team an word of encouragement and commendation after their loss.
Los Angeles Angels center fielder Mike Trout came out to meet the Upper Providence team in Williamsport. Trout is out with a calf injury. He played Little League in Millville, NJ, according to MLB.com.
