$95 Million Pittsburgh Bridge Project: You Won't Like This News
Traffic will be disrupted for hundreds of thousands of Pittsburgh motorists this week. Patch provides the details you need.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The next stage in a major Pittsburgh roadway project is expected to disrupt and delay traffic this week.
PennDOT District 11 is advising motorists a bridge beam delivery on the Parkway East will occur on Wednesday and Thursday.
The bridge beam deliveries are expected to arrive onsite at the I-376 Commercial Street Bridge replacement project between approximately 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Arrival time is contingent on travel distance and unforeseen obstacles, but PennDOT says to expect westbound traffic to have a stoppage of at least 15 minutes.

The Commercial Street Bridge replacement project will utilize accelerated bridge construction techniques to laterally slide the new bridge onto the existing alignment of the current span, located between the Squirrel Hill Tunnel and the Edgewood-Swissvale interchange.
