Aldi Continues To Expand Pittsburgh Presence
A new Aldi supermarket is opening in the Pittsburgh area this week.

WILKINSBURG, PA — Aldi will open its latest Pittsburgh location in Wilkinsburg Thursday, continuing the trend of expanding its presence in the city.
The move comes a month after the Germany-based grocery chain opened a store in Lawrenceville in an old Shop 'N Save location. Also last month, Aldi appeared before the city Zoning Board of Adjustment seeking a variance to open a store in a Staples location on Banksville Road.
"We're excited to open our first Aldi store in Wilkinsburg and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping," Kevin Ely, Vice President of Aldi Saxonburg, said in a release. "Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier."

After opening day, the store's regular hours will be 9 a.m-8 p.m. daily.
