ATF Investigating Pittsburgh-Area Weapons Heist

The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms is aiding local law enforcement's probe of a Pittsburgh-area gun shop burglary.

BETHEL PARK, PA — Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms & Explosions agents are responding to a burglary early Monday at a well-known gun shop.

ATF said via social media that it is assisting Bethel Park police in investigating the burglary at Allegheny Arms & Gun Works in the Millenium Shop on Library Road.

"The ATF is assisting with identifying which firearms were stolen to track and recover them," an post on the ATF's Philadelphia field division X page stated.

A window was shattered in the overnight break-in.

In business for more than 30 years, Allegheny Arms And Gun Works says on its website that it is a one-stop shop for all firearm, ammunition accessory needs. The store also has trained on-site gunsmiths.
