The stadium was originally named Falconi Field, to honor the late entrepreneur, Angelo Falconi. From 2007–2016 the complex was known as CONSOL Energy Park. From 2017 until now, the facility bore the name Wild Things Park.

The stadium primarily serves as the home of the Wild Things of the Frontier League, an 18-team independent league. The Wild Things won the 2024 Frontier League's West Division.
