Free Friends and Family Support Sessions Offered by The Emily Program in Pennsylvania
Supporting Loved Ones: Free Virtual Sessions for Families and Friends Navigating Eating Disorders

When a loved one is facing an eating disorder, families and friends play a vital role in the recovery process. To provide them with tools, encouragement, and connection, The Emily Program in Pittsburgh hosts Friends and Family Sessions free, virtual events open to the community twice a month.
These sessions offer families a chance to ask questions, learn about eating disorders, and connect with others who understand the challenges of being a support person. Each gathering focuses on both practical strategies and compassionate guidance.
“As a program, we see firsthand how much strength and love families bring to the recovery process,” said Brittany Davis, Senior Regional Director for The Emily Program in the Midwest. “These sessions honor that role and offer the tools to make the journey a little less overwhelming.”
