PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has ordered the closure of Diners 2+1, a Japanese restaurant on Murray Avenue in Squirrel Hill, for numerous health code violations.

An inspection on Wednesday revealed an imminent health hazard: All of the cold water at every fixture - three-bowl sink, toilets, hand sinks and food prep sink - was brown.

Rodent droppings were found along the walls and on top of the chest freezer in the dry storage area, beneath the sushi station counters, along walls in the men's and women's restrooms, on a ledge next to the basement stairs and on the basement stairs with a denser concentration near the top.
