Two explosions and a fire took a suburban Pittsburgh woman's life on Tuesday.

PENN HILLS, PA — An 84-year-old woman died Tuesday in a house fire and explosions likely caused by leaking propane.

Penn Hills Fire Marshal Chuck Miller told WPXI-TV the explosions likely occurred because the home's propane system was not up to code. The basement filled with gas, which was ignited by two kerosene heaters.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office has yet to release the name of the victim.
