Kennywood, Sandcastle, Idlewild Seek To Hire 2,000 Workers

The three Western Pennsylvania amusement and water parks are looking for workers for the upcoming season.

WEST MIFFLIN, PA — Kennywood, Sandcastle and Idlewild & Soak Zone are looking to hire more than 2,000 workers to staff the parks for the 2025 season. More than 1,100 of those employees will be stationed at Kennywood, while the remainder will staff Sandcastle in West Homestead and Idlewild in Ligonier.

Job opportunities available include ride operators, food and beverage team members, security team members, lifeguards, character performers and more. No experience is required, but all applicants must be 14 years of age or older. Online applications are officially available now for Kennywood, Idlewild and Sandcastle.

Kennywood, Idlewild and Sandcastle promise pay starting at up to $15 per hour, growth opportunities and flexible schedules. All employees will receive free admission to the parks, discounts on food and retail, free tickets for family and friends, scholarship programs and access to exclusive team member events.

The parks will host several in-person hiring events. Those attending will have the opportunity to learn more about positions, meet park teams and take part in open interviews. Kennywood and Sandcastle will host the first dual job fair of the season on March 8 on-site at Kennywood followed by a second job fair on Saturday, March 29. Idlewild & SoakZone will host its first job fair on March 8 with additional fairs to be announced across all three properties.
