A significant Pittsburgh road project will cause traffic troubles for months. Get the details here.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Major lane closures will occur on a city road that impacts 40,000 motorists each day.
Browns Hill Road between Beechwood Boulevard-Hazelwood Avenue and the Homestead Grays Bridge will experience the lane closures beginning Monday and lasting to December. The Allegheny County Department of Public Works said the closures are required for extensive concrete roadway and joint repairs, drainage improvements, sidewalk repairs, curb replacement, as well as sign an pavement marking work.
One of the two inbound lanes will periodically close from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, and one of the two outbound lanes will periodically close from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays. Weekend work hours might be incorporated into the project at a later date. If that occurs, Public Works will announce it via social media and Allegheny Alerts.

The timing of the lane closures is designed to avoid rush hours, but drivers should expect traffic delays in the area and are encouraged to allow extra time to reach their destinations.
