Man Took Pittsburgh Woman's Car With Infant Inside: Police
A domestic incident resulted in a man speeding off with a woman's vehicle with a five-month-old child inside, police said.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A man is in custody after a domestic incident Monday in which he drove off in a woman's car with their five-month-old child inside.
According to Pittsburgh Public Safety officials, police were called to the 300 block of East Allegheny at around 6:15 p.m. for reports of a domestic incident in a gas station parking lot. Arriving officers found a woman who told them she had been in an altercation with the father of her child.
She and the man had arrived in separate vehicles. The woman told officers that the father took her vehicle, with the infant inside, and fled the scene.

The vehicle was tracked to a residence in Duquesne and the man was taken into custody. The infant was safely recovered, with no injuries, and reunited with the mother. The woman was medically evaluated and cleared at the scene by Pittsburgh EMS.
The man was taken to the Allegheny County Jail. Public safety officials said charges are pending.
