Massive Upper St. Clair House Fire Turns Deadly

A fatal fire occurred early Thursday in the township.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA — One person is dead and four others were hurt Thursday morning when a fire destroyed a home here.

Firefighters from Upper St. Clair and Peters Township were called to the residence at 2271 Country Club Drive around 6 a.m. Thursday. The home was fully engulfed when they arrived.

Officials confirmed to WPXI-TV and WTAE-TV that one person inside the home was killed and four others were injured. Two of those hurt were police officers were police officers who entered the home.

The name of the person killed in the blaze has yet to be released, nor have the names and conditions of those injured.
