New Mexican Eatery Debuts In Pittsburgh

There's a new place in the Pittsburgh area to get tacos, burritos, enchiladas and more.

PENN HILLS, PA — Mexican food lovers have a new dining option in the Pittsburgh area: Taqueria El Mariachi opened Feb. 1 on Saltsburg Road in Penn Hills.

According to its website, Taqueria El Mariachi was "inspired by a deep love for authentic Mexican flavors and the rich culinary traditions passed down through generations. Rooted in family recipes and time-honored techniques, we bring the essence of Mexico’s street food to the heart of the city."

The restaurant boasts a variety of taco options, including marinated pork, pork sausage, beef steak, mixed pork sausage-beef steak, chicken and beef tongue.

Also on the menu are different burritos, empanadas, enchiladas, flautas, pambazos and huaraches.

The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. It is closed on Monday.
