Notable Pittsburgh Restaurant Group Unveiling New Concept

A noted Pittsburgh restaurateur is adding to his stable of places to eat and drink around town.

PITTSBURGH, PA — One of the city's most successful restaurateurs is introducing his latest concept.

The Richard DeShantz Restaurant Group is opening Pre Amp Coffee Studio on Forbes Avenue in Squirrel Hill in the long-vacant space once occupied by Coffee Tree Roasters.

DeShantz's eateries include Meat & Potatoes, Butcher and the Rye, Tako, Gi Jin, Rib Room and Sally Ann's, all Downtown; Coop Deville in Lawrenceville; Fish Nor Fowl in East Liberty and Tako Torta in Bakery Square.

The studio will offer typical coffee shop beverages such as espressos, macchiatos, lattttes and cappucinos and specialty jazzed up versions of those drinks.

Mortadella, the name of the Pro Amp kitchen, offers a "revolving quarterly concept (that) debuts a fresh set of ideas and flavors every season - so there's always something new to crave," the studio's website states.
