PA Family Lived With Relative's Decomposing Body For Months: Police
Police made a macabre discovery when asked to check on a Western Pennsylvania man's wellness.
GREENE COUNTY, PA — A family was found to be living in a home last week with a relative who had been dead for months.
The body of Michael Bebout, 64, was found in his bed in an advanced state of decomposition, Greene County regional police told WTAE-TV and WPXI-TV. Police had gone to the home on Hays Avenue in Canton Township after one of the relatives called 911 to request a wellness check.
Police estimated Bebout had been dead for about six months. One of his relatives said he only noticed Bebout had died last Thursday.

Police said conditions in the home were terrible, with dog and rodent feces on the floor.
Police do not suspect foul play in Bebout's death but are investigating whether anyone might have benefited financially after he died.
