Penalty Phase Resumes In Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting Trial

Jurors will soon decide whether or not the convicted gunman Robert Bowers is eligible to face the death penalty.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The penalty phase in the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting trial resumed Monday morning at the federal courthouse.

Jurors will soon decide whether or not the convicted gunman Robert Bowers is eligible to face the death penalty.

Prosecution witness Dr. Park Deitz, a forensic psychiatrist, returned to the stand on Monday, testifying the convicted gunman has a personality disorder but not a mental illness or delusions, and "had capacity for planning and premeditation" of the attack.
