PITTSBURGH, PA — Recently crowned the nation's best specialty food festival yet again by USA Today readers, Picklesburgh is returning again this summer. The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership announced Wednesday that the event will occur July 11-13.

Picklesburgh, of course, is the free, multi-day festival full of fermented fandom and fun. With dill-icious food from around the region and the world, pickle-themed merchandise, live music, free ‘Lil’ Gherkins’ activities, and a heart-pounding pickle juice drinking contest, there’s something for everyone to, well, relish.

Recognized as a ‘signature event' by the Pennsylvania Tourism Office, Picklesburgh has grown every year since launching in 2015 and continues to garner national (and international) attention.

Last year’s event broke attendance records, with 250,000 people partaking in the fermented fun, according to the partnership.

After falling to second place last year, Picklesburgh recently reclaimed the best specialty food festival title in USA Today's 2025 Readers' Choice Awards.

“We want to thank all the pickle-passionate people and dill devotees who cast their votes over the past few weeks,” Jeremy Waldrup, president and CEO of the partnership, said in a statement. “We look forward to relishing this sweet victory with all of you when Picklesburgh returns in July.”
