Pittsburgh Area Getting Massive 14-Foot-Tall Hot Chocolate Cup
A Pittsburgh-area institution is about to debut an incredibly large hot chocolate cup and other holiday treats on steroids.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Here's something you don't see every day:
A colossal hot chocolate cup that stands 14 feet tall and can hold 800 gallons of hot chocolate. Its display includes eight cookies up to three feet in diameter, two four-foot-tall candy canes, a three-foot-tall swirl of whipped cream and, ahem, 54 feet of oversized popcorn garland.
If you think no one would conceive of such an ambitious cup of cocoa, think again. The massive hot chocolate cup will be unveiled on Dec. 19 at Kennywood as part of the West Mifflin amusement's park's ongoing Holiday Lights celebration.

Kennywood also has launched the Colossal Hot Chocolate Souvenir Cup Sweepstakes. Guests can take their best shot at guessing how many mini marshmallows it would take to fill the giant cup. Entries are open now through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, and every guess is an entry for a sweet prize package complete with four Kennywood tickets to the big reveal, two 2026 Gold Season Passes, a souvenir hot chocolate cup, and a ride on the Gingerbread Express with Santa.
