Pittsburgh-Area HS Custodian Sold Drugs, Alcohol To Students: Police

A high school custodian is accused of making the illegal transactions on school grounds.

PINE TOWNSHIP, PA — A Pine-Richland High School custodian has been accused of selling drugs and alcohol to students.

Keon Barrett, 23, of Saxonburg, is facing multiple charges, including corruption of minors, criminal prohibited acts delivery and criminal use of a communication facility, according to court documents.

According to police, a student gave Barrett money to purchase alcohol. He also allegedly sold vape products, some of which may have contained THC, to a student.

The transactions allegedly occurred on school grounds.

In an email to parents, the district has said Barrett has been placed on immediate administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal proceedings.

Barrett faces a preliminary hearing on Feb. 26.
