Pittsburgh-Area Mom Threatened To Kill Child On Facebook Live: Police
Police received multiple calls about a woman threatening to harm and kill her disabled son.

BEAVER COUNTY, PA — An Aliquppa woman was arrested Monday after allegedly threatening to kill her 8-year-old disabled child on Facebook Live.
At approximately, 4 p.m., Aliquippa police received multiple calls regarding the threats. After obtaining and reviewing the video, police said McDermott made very specific references to harming and killing the child.
Aliquippa and Hopewell officers went to McDermott's residence on McMinn Street, where she refused to open her locked screen door despite being told that she was under arrest. When McDermott said she was not submitting to arrest, police made forced entry into the home and took her into custody.

Police said the child was living in deplorable conditions. Children and Youth Services was notified and the boy was turned over to his grandmother.
McDermott was charged with a felony count of endangering the welfare of a child and two misdemeanor counts: terroristic threats and obstruction of justice. She is being held in the Beaver County Jail.
