Pittsburgh-Area Taco Bell Slaying: Man Guilty In Worker's Death

The manager of a Pittsburgh Taco Bell shot and killed a restaurant employee.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The former manager of the Taco Bell in Scott was found guilty Tuesday of first-degree murder for killing an employee after an altercation at the fast-food restaurant.

Zaire Simmons, 26, of Pittsburgh, was convicted of shooting Dorian Carver, 32, of Harrison in November 2022 after following him out of the Taco Bell and shooting him in the lobby of the nearby Northwestern Mutual building.

Simmons faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole.
