Pittsburgh Brewery Giving Back To Its Neighborhood
A Pittsburgh brewery is donating a portion of its sales this months to four nonprofits in the community. Get the details here.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Hazel Grove Brewery has only been open for six months. But owners Steve and Barb Hartman already are making a concerted effort to weave themselves into the fabric of the Hazelwood neighborhood where their Irvine Street business debuted last July.
Toward that end, the Hartmans have made January a month of giving back to Hazelwood organizations. Each week, Hazel Grove is highlighting a local nonprofit through its social media platforms, email and in the taproom. The brewery also is giving a portion of its sales to that organization.
"As we started Hazel Grove Brewing, we knew we wanted to be a part of something bigger than ourselves and to be a welcome gathering place for the community," Barb Hartman said. "Our mission is to make well-crafted beers, be good to one another and contribute to our Hazelwood community."
