Pittsburgh Closing Streets Ahead Of Anticipated Wintry Weather
Pittsburgh is shutting down certain streets in advance of tonight's anticipated snowfall.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Although no significant snow accumulation is expected overnight in Pittsburgh, the city is preemptively closing six streets known to be hazardous during bad weather.
The following roads will reopen Thursday on a case-by-case basis:
- Capitol Avenue, Brookline
- Newett Street, Carrick
- Copperfield Street, Carrick
- South Negley Avenue, Squirrel Hill
- Suffolk Street, Perry South
- Rialto Street, Troy Hill
Those streets will be closed at 10 p.m.

Additionally, the city will deploy 60 trucks to clear roads from 10 p.m. until Thursday afternoon.
