Pittsburgh Hit-And-Run Victim Loses Part Of Leg
Family members are reaching out to call attention to the plight of a man severely injured in a hit-and-run accident on Dec. 24.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A man who was hit by a truck while pushing his disabled vehicle off the road on Christmas Eve has lost part of his leg, a family member revealed.
Angela Corsello, the brother of victim Perri Corsello, disclosed that information on a GoFundMe page she established to raise money to aid in his recovery.
Shortly after midnight on Dec. 24, Corsello's Ford Focus became disabled on the Parkway North near the McKnight Road exit. After getting out of the car to push it off the road, a Dodge Ram 1500 hit him, police said. Police are still searching for the driver.

"It was a hit and run, meaning my brother will be financially responsible for most of the hospital bills, on top of a prosthetic in the future and everything in between," Angela Corsello wrote. "We are lucky to have a family that can help to support him, but the financial burden is astronomical on top of the emotional devastation it has caused all of us."
