Pittsburgh Hotel Receives National Accolades

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh, Downtown, has made Conde Nast Traveler's recently released list of the Mid-Atlantic's 15 best hotels. The Hotel Monaco, ranked ninth by Conde Nast Traveler readers, was the only local hotel to crack the list.

The Monaco received points for being dog-friendly, having loaner bikes on hand and having a unique decor.

"With plush blue velvet couches and tongue-in-cheek artwork sidled up by lime-green tufted headboards and bright-yellow bird cage light fixtures,this quirky 248-room stay could read as a total design disaster—but by some Seussical miracle, it all works," the publication's review stated.

The Monaco's drinking and dining options were also praised, particularly the Biergaten with its communal tables, salted pretzels and games of cornhole. The hotel also offers a wine hour in its lounge and has available 24-hour room service.
