Pittsburgh Native Returns Home As Local TV News Reporter
A Pittsburgh native is now reporting on stories in her hometown.
PITTSBURGH, PA — After working in several other television markets, Jordan Cioppa has come home to Pittsburgh. The Plum native has been hired by WTAE-TV as a reporter.
Cioppa arrives at WTAE after spending three years at WCBD-TV in Charleston, SC.
"I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to report in my hometown especially for such a reputable station and team that I’ve looked up to for years," Cioppa wrote in a Facebook post. "So excited to get started."

Cioppa is a Plum High School and Penn State graduate. Her first job in broadcasting was at WJAC-TV in Johnstown, where she worked as a multimedia journalist, anchor, producer and social media contributor.
