Pittsburgh Police Probe Back-To-Back Robberies

Pittsburgh police are investigating two robberies Sunday night on the city's South Side.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Two businesses were robbed within a short time of each other Sunday night on the city's South Side.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the BP Gas station at 10th and East Carson streets for a reported robbery. Employees told officers that two males entered the store dressed in black hoodies and masks. They threatened employees with a knife and demanded cash from the register and tobacco products from behind the counter before fleeing on foot.

A short time later, the same duo entered the Glass Zone in the 1300 block of East Carson.The owner said they immediately jumped over the counter, brandished a knife, and demanded cash and THC products. He gave them a small amount of money and they ran from the store.

No one was injured in either incident.

Detectives were provided with surveillance video from both robberies.
