Pittsburgh Restaurant Chain Off To Ireland

PITTSBURGH, PA — Golly bejabbers!

Steelers fans who go to Dublin for the team's game there against the Minnesota Vikings will have a familiar place to dine. The team will play at Croke Park; Pittsburgh-based Primanti Bros. will offer yinzer fare at a pop-up restaurant at the nearby Croke Park Hotel.

"Both the Steelers and Primanti Bros. were founded in 1933," Primanti Bros. beverage director Jim Prezioso said in a statement. "We’ve bled black and gold for our entire existence. When the opportunity arose for us to bring our sandwiches to Dublin –it was a done deal.”

The Steelers will be the "home" team on Sunday when they host the Vikings. The game,which will be broadcast on the NFL Network, will begin at 9:30 a.m. - that is 2:30 p.m. Dublin time. It will be the Steelers first international game since 2013, when they lost to the Vikings in London.

Because of the game's early state, Primanti's will open at 9 a.m. at select locations. They include says its Allison Park, Center Township, Cranberry, Greensburg, Harmar, McIntyre Square, Monroeville, Moon Township, NorthVersailles, Oakland, Pleasant Hills, Robinson, South Fayette, South Side, Washington, and The Waterfront.
