Pittsburgh Sees Coldest Temperature In A Decade
The extreme cold snap continues in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Pittsburgh saw its coldest weather since 2015 Wednesday morning as the temperature dipping to 9 degrees below zero.
According to the National Weather Service, the last time the temperature was that low was February 2015.
For Pittsburgh, the lowest temperature recorded this morning was -9°F. It hasn't been this cold since February 2015.

Western Pennsylvania remains under a Cold Weather Advisory until 1 p.m. today. The high temperature will be near 10 with wind chills as low as 15 below zero.

Six warming centers will be open in the city from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday:
- Beechview Healthy Active Living Community Center, 1555 Broadway Ave.
- Brighton Heights Healthy Active Living Community Center, 3515 McClure Ave.
- Greenfield Healthy Active Living Community Center, 745 Greenfield Ave.
- Homewood Healthy Active Living Community Center, 7321 Frankstown Road.
- Sheraden Healthy Active Living Community Center, 720 Sherwood Avenue.
- South Side Market House Healthy Active Living Community Center, 12th & Bingham streets.
Temperatures are expected to remain above zero overnight, with the low dropping to around 6 and wind chill values as low as 1 below zero.

Temperatures will begin to moderate Thursday with a high near 26. The weekend should see temperatures in the low 30s.
