Pittsburgh Teen Charged With Fatally Shooting Brother In Face

A Pittsburgh teen has been charged in the killing of his younger brother.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Charges have been upgraded against a Pittsburgh teen who shot his younger brother last month following the brother's death.

Jordan Mosley, 16, is now charged with homicide in connection with the death of Carmello Mosley, 14. He previously was charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and possession of a firearm by a minor.

Police were dispatched to a residence in the 6200 block of East Liberty Boulevard in Larimer at about 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 4 for reports of a shooting. Officers found Carmello Mosley inside the home with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in grave condition and died on Jan. 7.

Jordan Mosely told police he and the victim were playing with loaded guns. As they did, Jordan pulled the trigger once but the gun did not fire. He pulled the trigger again, striking Carmello Mosley in the face, according to the criminal complaint.

Carmello's death was ruled a homicide on Jan. 28. The homicide charge was filed Tuesday, according to court documents.

Jordan Mosley is being housed in the Allegheny County Jail.
