PNC Park To Offer New Taste Treats For Pirates Fans

Food concessionaire Aramark has revealed the new menu items that will be available at PNC Park this baseball season.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Pirates' concessionaire for more than half a century has unveiled several new menu items that will be available for fans at PNC Park this season.

The new additions to be offered by Philadelphia-based Aramark, the team's concessionaire since 1973, include a fried almond torte, a polish cannonball and a chipped ham empanada.

The torte is a batter dipped funnel cake topped with raspberry sauce, icing and burnt almonds. The cannonball consists of egg noodles, kielbasa, cabbage, bacon, cheddar cheese and herb crema dip. The empanada is filled with barbecue chipped ham, cheddar cheese and pickles.

All three items will be available at the Cannonball Stand.

Additionally, fans can purchase a 98-ounce collectable Pirates-breaded popcorn bat featuring an attached lid and an embossed wood-grain texture; a cotton candy foam mask showcasing the Pirate Parrot and the fastball souvenir cup, a baseball-shaped cup with the Pirates logo that holds frozen cocktails or other beverages.

The Pirates' home opener is April 4 versus the New York Yankees.
