Popular Pittsburgh Restaurant Adds Second Location

A Pittsburgh restaurant's success has allowed it to expand to a second location. Get the details here.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A popular Asian restaurant in Pittsburgh has opened a second location in the area.

Fujiya Ramen on South Aiken Street in Shadyside, has expanded into North Fayette in a space on McHolme Drive.

"We focus on handcrafted Japanese ramen with a 15-hour slow-simmered broth, plus yakitori (grilled skewers), appetizers, rice dishes and a full bar with Japanese sake & whiskey," the restaurant announced in a Facebook post.

"We’re a locally owned small business. If you’re in the area and looking for a new spot to try, we’d truly love your support."

According to the restaurant website, the business is a collaboration between father and son, Minoru and Zen Yoshida. Minoru worked for more than 40 years making ramen in both Tokyo and its surrounding Japanese prefectures.

The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
