PITTSBURGH, PA —The Schenley Park Skating Rink has reopened after being closed last year for renovations, and the city is bringing back its annual Skate with Santa event. The festivities will occur Dec. 15 during the 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. skating session.
People will have the chance to take to the ice with Santa Claus just days before Christmas and capture holiday memories. The festivities will include holiday music.
“We are thrilled to have the rink up and running for the 2024-25 season after being closed last year for the installation of our state-of-the-art new chiller system," Citiparks director Kathryn Vagas said in a release. "And our excitement builds as we closer to our first skating event of the year—Skate with Santa."
